3. Local Storage & Similar Technologies

We also use browser localStorage (not cookies) for:

• Remembering if you dismissed the cookie banner
• Dark/light mode preference
• “Mark all as read” state for forum topics

These never leave your device and contain no personal data.

4. Your Rights & Controls

At any time you can:

• Click the shield icon (bottom-left) → “Manage preferences”
• Reject all non-essential cookies
• Withdraw consent (resets analytics opt-out)
• Delete all cookies via your browser → the banner will reappear

5. Data Protection Details

• All analytics data is processed on our own servers in Germany (Hetzner).
• IP addresses are anonymized within milliseconds (last octet removed).
• No data is ever shared with Google, Meta, TikTok, or any advertising network.

6. How to Completely Disable Everything Non-Essential

1. Click the shield → slide all toggles off → “Save”
2. Or simply use private/incognito mode – only strictly necessary session cookies will be used.

7. Updates to This Policy

Any material change will trigger:

• A prominent banner
• Email notification (if you’re logged in)
• 30-day grace period before enforcement
